En Janvier 2019, le cinéma l'Atalante fait appel à mes services pour l'aménagement de ces nouveaux locaux. Ce cinéma d'art et d'essais mythique était jusque là logé dans une salle très ancienne, dans son jus, lui donnant une ambiance familiale et chaleureuse.

Un grand changement s'annonce lorsqu'il prévoit de déménager dans un vaste local, tout neuf, et résolument contemporain. Sa clientèle est très fidèle, nous avons alors cherché à adoucir cette transition, à garder une âme dans ces nouveaux lieux.

Je me suis chargée d'aménager la partie bistrot, la billetterie, et la mezzanine, un espace ``salon`` plus cosy. Chaque meuble a été chiné, rénové, retapissé... Chacune de ces pièces a déjà une histoire, et s'apprête à en vivre de nouvelles.

In January 2019, the cinema “l’Atalante” hired me to redesign its new space. This iconic art-house theater had been hosted until then in an old building carrying a warm character and a familiar family feel.

A big shift was ahead when it came to moving them into a newly built contemporary space. For its loyal customers, we tried to ease in this transition, help pass over its soul from its former to its new location. I had the opportunity to design the areas of the bar, the box office, the new mezzanine as well as a new cozy living space. Each piece of furniture has been hand-picked and bargained-hunt, renovated and reupholstered… Each of them carries its own story already but is about to live even more.
